My Approach
I believe that positive change happens best in collaboration and authentic connection with others. My approach begins by building this connection with you through compassion, humility, and a genuine desire to understand your story.
As we work together to establish your counseling goals, we’ll bring your story into the present moment to develop insight into what can be done here and now to overcome obstacles along your journey to positive change. This process will draw upon your strengths and evoke natural motivation within you as you move towards your goals.
Along the way, we’ll continually assess the alignment between your goals for counseling and my approach for promoting positive change.

The ability to connect with ourselves and the world around us is vital for a full, healthy life. It’s also an important part of the therapeutic relationship and the foundation of my approach to supporting your journey.

Creative play promotes psychological flexibility, opening us up to more opportunities for positive change. When appropriate, this tool can bring warmth and lightness to our greatest challenges.
Values orientation
When we understand what we value most, we are more capable of moving our lives in a positive direction. Aligning with your values can be a great aid along the therapeutic journey.
Compassionate Acceptance
My aim is to approach each session with compassion and acceptance of what is. When balanced with intentional action, this tool can make your most challenging experiences easier to integrate in healthy ways.
More about My Approach
Drawing from Gestalt, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Constructivism, I view counseling as a collaborative, experiential process focused mainly on the present moment. Together, we’ll work to help you connect more fully with your authentic self and the world around you.
I believe many mental health challenges arise when we loose this sense of connection — often because some part of our experience feels incompatible with our values, identity, or fundamental needs. In response, we may avoid, suppress, or turn against aspects of ourselves or our experience. Strategies like these can offer short-term relief, but often create greater distress over time.
In our work together, we’ll explore these patterns and the tensions beneath them. Through self-awareness, intentional action, meaning-making, and more, we’ll begin to integrate challenging experiences and cultivate your ability to continue doing so independently. This work can help you move toward a life that feels more coherent, meaningful, and aligned with who you truly are.
My goal is to offer a space where you can engage with your experience openly and safely, while developing the flexibility and insight needed to navigate life with clarity, connection, and intentionality.
